Ah got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one...

About Me

Surely talking to me is a much more enjoyable way of getting to know me than reading a paragraph of two of my ramblings? Go on, you know you want to...

My Interests

In a nutshell...

Music - listening & writing Playing Guitar MMA Surrealist comedy Vampirism Stealing candy from babies

I'd like to meet:

Anyone willing to give me money, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Kiefer Sutherland, Dylan Moran, Chris Morris, the delectable Miss Jolie or people willing to part with sweets/alcoholic beverages

Music:

I'll give most things a listen and will never discount a band/style of music until I've given it a try. However as a rule of thumb I plump more for anything passionate and emotive, mostly centering around the metal/alt. genres.

To give you some idea of what I do listen to, here are some of the top bands/artists:

36 Crazyfists A Perfect Circle AFI All That Remains Apoptygma Berzerk Assemblage 23 Atreyu Chris Cornell Combichrist Depeche Mode Fear Factory Funeral for A Friend Gary Numan Hatebreed Icon of Coil In Flames Jack off Jill Khoma Kill II This Killswitch Engage Kristin Hersh Life of Agony Lords of Acid Marilyn Manson Misfits Nine Inch Nails Opeth Praga Khan Soilwork Spineshank Strapping Young Lad The Cure Throwdown Tool Type O Negative VNV Nation

Movies:

28 Days Later 28 Weeks Later Battle Royale Dogma Ed Wood From Dusk Til Dawn Ghost Dog House of 1000 Corpses Interview With A Vampire Lost Boys Lost in Translation Old Boy Ong Bak Secretary Sin City Stigmata Suicide The Crow The Devils Rejects The Machinist True Romance Underworld V for Vendetta Waterboy Withnail & I

Television:

As you'll see, on the rare occassions that I do watch TV it's usually to unwind with a few laughs:

Brass Eye Black Books The Day Today Jam I'm Alan Partridge Nathan Barley Peep Show (well, anything with Mitchell & Webb) Scrubs Spaced The League of Gentlemen The Mighty Boosh

Books:

Anything by Terry Pratchett. The man is a true genius and cannot do wrong in my eyes. Exquisite Corpse - Poppy Z Brite The Secret Life of Laszlo; Count Dracula - Roderick Anscombe Anno Dracula/The Bloody Red Baron - Kim Newman Most of HP Lovecraft's output

Heroes:

I don't succumb to the idea of heroes. I do however have a handful of people who inspire me. They are:

Terry Pratchett - literary genius Fear Factory - musically they turned my life around and give me the inspiration to keep writing George St Pierre - UFC fighter and dyed in the wool warrior. His never quit, give it your all attitude should be seen as an inspiration to us all. Never settle for second best and always strive to be the best you can
