Encouraged from an early age by his father, an avid blues fan, Darren had always possessed a passionate craving for music. Many late nights were spent enthusiastically mastering his natural ability on the keyboard, engineering it into an undisputed skill whilst developing his own style, ever inspired by Dance music.
In 1992, during a wintry February night out in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, Darren had his first "hands on" experience of the then underground rave scene - the venue being none other than the un-forgettable "Oscars Nightclub" situated on Clacton Pier. This initial exposure instigated a desire to be at the heart of such a community, and since that rainy February evening, Darren has never looked back…
By 1996 Darren was one half of the mighty song writing and DJ team FORCE & STYLES. They both went on to start up their own Record Label called UK Dance, which went on to host a catalogue of huge selling tracks such as ‘Pretty Green Eyes’, ‘Heart Of Gold’ and ‘Feelin Fine’ to name but a few. At this time they were 2 of the most in demand Hardcore DJ’s on the Planet.
Back in 2000 Darren’s natural progression along side his ever-growing interest in Trance hinted at a change of direction in his productions. Around this time fellow Hardcore jock and friend Mark Breeze was also leaning towards this sound, so they both set about writing some tracks which instantly gained them huge underground and commercial success. They soon became part of the Worlds undisputed leading Hardcore Label, ‘Raverbaby’ owned by DJ Hixxy, releasing countless anthems such as ‘You’re Shining’, ‘Heartbeatz’, ‘Getting Better’ and ‘Slideaway’. Some of which went on to be top 20 hits.
In 2005 along with Breeze and Hixxy, Darren was also part of the Biggest ever selling Hardcore album to date…. Clubland X-Treme Hardcore which was the first ever Hardcore album to go straight in at No.1 and went on to sell over 150 thousand copies in the UK… There has since been X-treme 2 and 3 in the series, both again going Gold and each selling over 150 thousand copies. Making them the most successful Hardcore albums to date.
In 2006 Darren’s years of hard work was recognised at the annual Hardcore Heaven awards and was voted…

Top 40 Hits to date include….
Pretty Green Eyes which went in at No.2 and went on to be the 25th biggest selling record of 2003 selling over 250 thousand copies and stayed in the top 40 for a staggering 3 months.
Feelin’ Fine which went in at No. 12 and dominated the Radio 1 A list for over 6 weeks.
