About Me

Sleepy melodies, sultry songwriting and intimate lyrics are how these stories in song are told...... Vancouver based musician Lindsay Robertson grew up in Guelph Ontario. This small town, filled with local inspirations and a nurturing music scene is where she began writing. Her music plays like a series of sonic book reports that give you a taste of what happens between the lines. She has made a new home beside the ocean where she performs solo, and in the company of others for various side projects. Lindsay is in the process of cultivating what will be her first full length album "Pay No Attention to the Woman Behind the Music" Upon it's release, she'll be off to visit our North American cites and their music festivals.

Canadian Satire

Kurt Vonnegut, R.I.P - You deserve it.

Kurt Vonnegut, at 84, died today. It feels like a great loss to the literary world, an of course, to his family. I'm going to try and remember that the day he died (lump in my throat), will from now ...

A Valentines Story

Here's something I saw last night; I was enjoying the solitude of the gym, pretending to stretch but really just laying around avoiding my apartment.... (things are still a little shaky with us), when...

I ran away from home......

And I live alone.   I abandoned my apartment on Thursday night. We had a fight and I left. I cheated.... I stayed at another apartment for the whole weekend. Sure it was bigger, but it just did...

How is this my life???

So, I'm off to Calgary for the weekend.. where it's -20, for my American friends, that translates to "too fucking cold to live". One and a half hours of sheer flying terror later... and assuming...

Dear Mr. Vonnegut Sir....

I have now read all but one of your novels. When I read that last one, I will then read your memoirs. Then I will live the rest of my life without an undiscovered Kurt Vonnegut book in my future. You...
