Philosophy, physics, psychology, trying to figure out how and why our world works the way it does...this occupies my brain in between all the other interests and activities I have. I've played music most of my life. I played in a heavy metal band called Hyperthermia from 16 - 24. I still love to play and teach my kids my old licks. Of course they want to be rich and famous musicians someday...wouldn't that be cool. I love the outdoors...fishing, camping, fourwheeling, snowmachining. I have downhill skiied almost all of my life and have a passion for it...that's true freedom.
Cool like minded people who see the world for what it is and still think there is hope for us all.
I thought maybe in my old age my taste would mellow out...but not so. My apreciation for all styles may have expanded but metal has always been like therapy for me to be able to cope with all the frustration in this world. Some of my favorite bands are...Pantera, Sepultura, Slayer, Slipknot, old Metallica, Coal Chamber, 36 Crazy Fists, New Hyperthermia, Vivaldi, Mozart, Betoven...and lot's more I,ll have to add in time.
Star Wars, Star Trek, yep, I'm a treky and proud...Red Planet, Contact, Ultraviolet, most well done sci fi... I'm really into What The Bleep Do We Know, Down the Rabbit Hole, right now... you have to watch that one over and over to get deeper an deeper down the rabbit hole of understanding... I just got the Secret and have watched it several times now and I'm starting to see it working day by day... I also love a good romance, I guess I like to think there is hope yet of finding that special someone... Serendipity is one of my favorites...Shakespear in Love, Love Actually... and then of course kid's movies thanks to my kid's and just being a kid at heart...Finding Nemo, Shark Tale...my son Max is totally into Toy Story right now so I watch it whenever I have him...a couple times a week.
I watch the news now and then...for the weather...Saturday Night Live...that's about it...all the good shows are out on DVD these days...
My alltime favorite author is Terry Brooks...I love every book he has written...I have a whole library of new age physics and metaphysics stuff...they are like my anti-depressant I guess to realize how much more there is to this world that we can't see is exciting to me...I just know someday I will figure out the true meaning it all...
My kid's...their excitement about life...and fearlessness towards this crazy world gives me inspiration.
