About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor

I'm currently working as a safety professional and industrial hygienist for a safety consulting company.
I love to travel and have been all over the United States and the world.
I love Harleys and motorcycles in general. I'm just as comfortable being in the same jeans for a few days riding my Harley to no where in particular, or dressing up for nice night out on the town.
I have been riding and wrenching my own bikes for over 35 years (motocross, trials, enduro, street) and currently have a '98 Softtail Springer. I've even taught motorcycle riding and safety courses.

I am a retired 20-year U.S. Navy submarine veteran and I strongly support vets, POW/MIA and veteran's affairs, and our current active duty troops. Some of the submarines I was stationed on include:
USS Ethan Allen SSBN 608
USS James Monroe SSBN 622
USS Florida SSBN 728
USS Tennessee SSBN 734
USS Nebraska SSBN 738

I am a bit of an activist and I thought this might give you a better idea of what I am like and believe in.

I believe that a good ride on a Harley Davidson with the wind in your hair can solve just about any of life’s worries.
I believe in a strong military, but only used in defense and as a last resort.
I believe in strong, healthy benefits for our military veterans.
I believe in a strong intelligence network, but not at the risk of individual privacy.
I believe we should not be the world’s policemen.
I believe that America’s way of life and living is not right for everyone else in the world. That is why our forefathers left Europe. There is someplace in the world for all types of beliefs. Go there if you don’t like America, but leave us alone!
I believe America should be required to balance it's budget before sending money overseas, especially to countries that hate America.
I believe in individual and equal rights for everyone, not just the rich, political-connected, and famous.
I believe in capital punishment, but not the way it is currently utilized. It is not a deterrent in the way we use it. Either make it equally used, public and gruesome so as to be a deterrent, or do away it completely.
I believe in a woman’s right to choose.
I believe we have an obligation to support our American government and infrastructure through tax, but that taxes should be spent more wisely than they are now.
I believe that a corporation’s tax statement to the government and earnings statement to their stockholders should match.
I believe that individuals should be able to own a gun, but not certain types of weapons, such as assault weapons.
I believe that the framers of the Constitution had no idea of what modern weapons would be like. If you want to stay strictly to the Constitution then let’s only allow weapons that were in use when the Constitution was written...muskets. The cops have a hard enough job and should not be outgunned.
I believe in personal censorship, not the government telling us what is bad or good and doing our censoring for us.
I believe we are not the only living things in our universe or outside our universe.
I believe in spanking kids and that schools should be able to do so as well. There is not enough accountability.
I believe we should lock down our borders and become more stringent in who comes into our country.
I believe we should have the right to choose with regards to helmet laws. Helmet laws suck!
I believe there are too many frivolous lawsuits and not enough personal responsibility taken.
I believe in the Bill of Rights and the rights they afford us as citizens of America.
I believe that people should be allowed to burn the flag even though it personally pisses me off to see it done...I served over 20 years in the Navy to maintain our freedoms, and that includes freedom of speech and expression. As they said in the movie American President, we should preserve the right for people to say the very things that make our own blood boil.
I believe in stem cell research but not human cloning. I do not believe stem cell research promotes abortion.
I believe in individual privacy and that whatever goes on between two or more consenting adults should stay private and it is not anyone else’s business to judge them in public.
I believe that military, firefighters, policeman and teachers are UNDERPAID.
I believe that attorneys, CEOs, financial investors, celebrities and athletes are OVERPAID.
I believe that protesting something does not mean you are un-American. Protest is exactly what America was founded on. We should not always take with blind faith what our government is telling us. We should challenge, question, confront... I believe you can support the military, but not support a war.
I believe in a healthy environment and strong environmental laws.
I believe in hiring the most qualified person for a job or position and not on the basis of any race, religion, or protected status. I do believe in giving all qualified candidates an equal chance for a job.
I believe that we have an inalienable right to help those less fortunate than ourselves get on their feet if they were put into a position that was outside their control. NOTE: Laziness and multiple pregnancies are within your control, I don’t care what race or religion you are.
I believe in our public school system and believe we should fix it instead of instituting school vouchers.
I believe in raising a child by educating them on the ways of the world and to make intelligent decisions...not trying to keep them isolated from "bad" things.
I believe political correctness is bullshit.
I believe in legalizing marijuana and taxing it.
I believe in legalizing prostitution and taxing/regulating it.
I believe that English is the language of the United States and that you should read and speak English if you are going to live and work legally in this country.
I believe in the separation of church and state, but I believe that a statue of the 10 commandments in front of a court house can be an expression of free speech and/or an art or historical exhibit, not an endorsement of religion by the state.
I believe that everyone should have access to affordable health care, even if the medicine is not from this country. If people want to take a chance on a drug from another country, so be it. It is their life and their decision.
I believe nuclear weapons should be banned worldwide.
I believe that you do not have to attend an organized church to be religious or spiritual.
I believe in the right to die if you are terminally ill and in extreme pain. It was your life. You should be able to make the ultimate decision about your death.
I believe that the rich will always take advantage of the poor, and that the poor need to be empowered against the system that the rich have created.
I believe in a country-wide driver’s license to replace state driver’s licenses.
I believe that many unions have out-lived their usefulness. Some industries still need them, but professional sports and entertainment are not one of them.
I believe in a supreme being...call him what you want, God, Buddah, Mohammad, The Man Upstairs, etc.
I believe in the power of the vote. We need to standardize state voting laws so we don’t have another Florida Presidential debacle.
I believe the toll of freedom is responsibility. Those who fail to act responsibly are not deserving of freedom.
I believe we should be very cautious when discussing or considering banning things. It sounds too much like communism to me.
I believe that rewarding people for negative or irresponsible behavior only breeds more negative and irresponsible behavior.
I believe people who are prejudiced against someone because of race, religion, handicaps, etc, are ignorant and uneducated.
I believe Fox News makes uneducated people prejudiced and that they are NOT fair, NOR balanced.
I believe we should spend money at home on schools, roads, security, and other infrastructure before we send it overseas.
I believe that America the Beautiful would make a much better national anthem, but I get goose bumps every time I hear the current one.
I believe Lee Harvey Oswald was probably the only shooter, but not the only person involved.
I believe that fucker OJ did it.
I believe that fucker Scott Peterson did it.
And those are my opinions and what I believe in. Sorry if you don't agree, but...

"Well I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days." - Crash Davis, Bull Durham
