About Me

-----------------------------------------------Me huh... well... drum roll please.... bbbrrrmmm bbbrrrmmm... Meg and I got engaged!!! I proposed on the evening of December 23rd, while she and I were flying to Memphis. I asked her to marry me on the plane ride. Actually, at 28,000 feet, while we were flying over Chattanooga at 410mph, the captain asked her over the intercom on my behalf, but I was ready with the ring and roses that were sneakily stored away in my carry-on (see my photos). When Meg said yes, the whole plane cheered. Next the captain sent back a bottle of wine and a few newlyweds on the plane handed us little notes they just written. Family and friends met us at the airport (again, see my pictures). We haven't set a date yet, but stay posted.I've decided to move on from my illustrious career as a full-time grad student and give the working world a little try. Yep, that's right, I'm actually going to test out this job-thing. I won't bore you with the details of my employment, in large part because it's safe to say that what I do is not who I am, although I do envy those people who get to do their passion/hobby for a living; you know, photographers, artists, tour guides, historians, porn stars€ that sort of thing.I'm a pretty upbeat person, like to do, and have a difficult time sitting on my rear or even sitting still for more than a minute or two (made studying kind of difficult). That said, I'm often guilty of sleeping in a little too late on Saturdays, and yes, Sunday too.I love to travel and have been to over 30 countries. In 2005, I worked in England for 5 months and had great fun. I love the English, they say the silliest things. No big travel plans at the moment, but I imagine a honeymoon isn't too far away.-----------------------------------------------

My Interests

Outdoor sports, the great outdoors, water skiing, snow skiing, running, social-to-slightly-more-than-social drinking... oh, I've been playing a little tennis lately.

I'd like to meet:

The Kool-Aid guy, David Spade, Kermit the Frog, and Eddie Murphy would be pretty fun to meet, but other than that, fun folks around Columbia. Hmm... maybe that really tall Chinese basketball player. I'd also like to meet my evil twin... or would he be my good twin... hmmm. Anyone who rides a uni-cycle.
And of course Rufus from Kim Possible.
