Conceived as fashionable accessories, the TINPODs are limited editions, featuring original artwork by illustrator Kurt Ketchum.With the debut of this exciting collection, Kollective.de is launching a truly unique—and artistic—alternative to the iPod cases already out there. Referencing the realms of music and travel, the three illustrations are actual paintings by Kurt Ketchum, which have been printed onto the TINPODs. Think of it as dressing your iPod in a colorful work of art.Stylish and fun, the TINPODs are also limited editions. Each of the multi-layered designs—called “Die Blechdose,” “L’Orange Lune” and “Change Attitude”—comes in a series of 5,000 numbered cases.TINPOD was developed by Kollective.de, a group of designers, illustrators and writers dedicated to producing inspiring new products. For each TINPOD purchased, a donation of $1 goes to CITYarts, a New York-based program that helps children and youth transform their neighborhoods through the creation of art.The TINPODs support the following iPods: 3G: 10, 15, 20GB 4G: 20, 30GB 5G: 30, 60GB.TINPODs are constructed of tin, making them sturdy and durable. The top comes equipped with ports supporting headsets from all iPod models, including remotes, as well as L-shaped mini plugs up to 7mm.
