Being part on line ups of massive parties sharing with the biggest names of the 80..s dance scene as Patrick Miller & Tony Barrera (Polymarchs) Aqquino get involved into the turntablism learning and trying effects like scratch and spin-back, getting into dj regional contests for the DMC.
With the arrival of the club culture around the world and the new tendences in electronic music, Aqquino tried a few new atmospheres according to the Mexican audiences making radio shows projects with a different perspective generating a new taste for the mexican audience who start to hear Industrial, Eurobeats and the first projects of house music as a new option.
The rave generation was in the highest point and everything was perfect for experiment and create new targets, djs who recreate themselves being editors and taking their own personality.
All this P.L.U.R. season was making more easy comunnications with other djs and upgrading from a nocturnal job to totally new concepts in music, being created groups known as "collectives" trading original music and original work.
In these years many brand new styles were appearing on the air, from the undergroung to the overground, making djs goes beyond from turntablism to a personal style, Is in those years that Aqquino was following his own influences (Kraftwerk, Richie Hawtin, Derrick May) creating his first techno session under the labels Metroplex, Transmat & KMS, Focused on Detroit Techno with very creative hard tunes, with a dirty bleech beat dance, frenetic and funky at the same time. Promoting attention on the underground dance music scene.
Making a break in his dj career, Aqquino finish his collage degree as Publicist and Public Relations trainer, working an audio project as part of his title degree with a work without precedents titled "Musica electronica como recurso de fondeo en materiales audiovisuales" book and multimedia CDs with almost 600 samples, beats y signs created and edited by Aqquino in studio and with and amazing 3D design by Josue Coronado . this work is available in USBI libraries and the Universidad Veracruzana.
This work explain basicaly how with terms from the club culture, audio equations and dj techniques, professionals involved with mass media could create their own rythmic bases according to 4 different atmospheres influencing in the human behavior targeting a product costumer and communicating efective messages in social movements.
Aqquino took his career as a professional dj totally out of the commercial profile with a very unique style on his performance making sessions with strongest tribal beats and techno based in the original spiritual trance rituals from the Prehispanic, Indian and black African communities bmixing a very synthetic beat properties of the music created by digital commands.
Under the "anticolectivo" project inspired from the original idea of provide a real mexican urban touch and rebel themselve against the fashion light movement of djs that want to be "stars" he get into several festivals, contest and events like the Red Bull Music Academy Germany contest which first year was recognized as a great dj for his half hour session of Drum and Bass, (virus part 1) making him appears in the globe scene, motivating him to create two EPs titled "HB" (not signed) and "Euforia" original tracks with a complete mature personality of this dj.
Aqquino A.K.A. Litheum is a name created by two personalities.
Aqquino as the rational side of a social mind (mother..s second name). Litheum as a fake answer to the human condition (litheum 300, powerful drug that take away the pain in terminal cancer disease) performing in center, north and some points in the south as well, in cultural events, raves, expos, sports contests, festivals and as a opener for other djs.
Re-opening his profile as a dj in 4 atmospheres (inspired in his work) and with Techno music as his personal trademark, Hr took the most urban Drum and Bass, making Arabian-Asiatic-Mediterranean sessions for an Experimental Lounge / Easy Listening and a very hypnotic-organic Tribal beat washed into scratches and transformers for a dj residence on Wayan Afro Lounge (Cancun) sharing scene with live music performers and important musicians as the trumpet man Torang Velazco (Cuba) the timbales man Cristian (Puerto Rico) y Enrique -Sabor Latino- (Dominican Republic) 8 djemberos (México) and all kind of percussionists.
Mixing records with figures like Deep Dish (deep-progressive) Hipp.e (tech house) y GMS (psychedelic trance) between others... promoting sessions in underground radio stations in Rumania, Argentina, Portugal, Peru, Argentina, Australia and Israel, Aqquino start a new chapter promoting his own image, (Aqquino A.K.A. Litheum) looking forward not just for an overground personal recognition, but for promoting the Mexican dj as a real option of world exportation.
Recently was one of the dj residents team on "sky mix" electronic club located at Cancun hotel zone making the opening residence sharing turntables with Benjisolis and Gabriel Guzman. A great undergound beat dj from the real electronic scene. And currently working in new tracks, projects and traveling mixing beats for other cultures...
