About Me
Novej was born Timothy Jevon McGuire on the 8th day of January, 1981 in a small town by the name of Scotland Neck, North Carolina. Given the chance to explore his interest, Novej would ramble through 8-track and vinyl recordings that epitomized struggle and he would present his renditions of "love and happiness" before he learn how to "Krush Groove". Despite the fact that members of the church's mother board made request like "Fix it Jesus", Novej was learning how to rock the mic at local talent shows and dance successfully in his "no lace" Addidas. His first time experiencing the energy of Hip-Hop on a higher plane was at an event called the "Freddi Fixer" in the Ville (New Haven, Connecticut). "A Lunch" at THS was the designated time for Novej to sharpen up his freestyle skills and challenge other emcees. He began to network and become influenced by local groups like "Krim De La Krim", "Nu-Borns", and "Slang-U". Even though football was his ticket out of Tarboro, Novej persued his career as a producer as well as an artist. After landing in Winston-Salem, NC, Novej worked with many artist (Ricky Ruckus, Ill Spittas, Suspect Saquado, Lil D, Baby Sharn, XL, and Big Remo). There has been album releases such as "Consider It Done" and "All the Above", which was a group project. Novej was fortunate to work with powerhouse producers like Masheddi, Alkali, Khrysis, J-Kits, Manifest, Radio, and 9th Wonder, who signed him to a production deal on It's A Wonderful World Music, as a member of the group called The A.L.L.I.E.S. In 2006 Novej launched his very own label, Feel Good Music Group, under which the anticipated "Novej.com" album will be released. Currently, Novej is negotiating deals with major recording labels and establishing a blueprint for his post-sophmore EP.
