Phil Black started DJ'ing at the age of 12. He went on to become one of the premier DJ's in NC during the mid to late 90's. If you've been to any of his parties you know what it is. He parlayed his turntable wizardry into producing, which then led to him creating his very own music. Phil Black is the mogul of the future. With experience in all aspects of the music business it would be wise for the world to take notice of this multi-dimensional Renaissance Man. He has executive produced in excess of 15 albums, including such classics as Radio Rahiem's "The LandMark" and the the best North Carolina compilation ever "Streetz A'int Safe" which featured a virtual who's who of up and coming NC MC's. He later went on to record 3 full length solo albums. He is now putting the finishing touches on the highly anticipated album with his long time partner in crhyme, Radio Rahiem who along with Black co-owns the label Green Brick Entertainment. Phil Black gets his name from his heritage. Being of Phillipino and Black descent he forged the two together to create the alias Phil Black. Black puts 100% of himself into his music. He raps about the world as he sees it from his eyes, and his ability to capture the mood of the beat into his tone when rhyming makes him one of your favorite artist. Major labels would be wise to take a look at this young man from North Carolina, we feel he is one of the few artist that possess the real talent of putting the pen to paper and crafting classics.
