...my interestes are pretty much the same as my hobbies, and my hobbies are mostly aspects of myself. i'm big into the arts... that whole "other half" of the brain. i am a writer and huge into the world of modern lit - psychology and philosophy fascinate me. music is and always will be my life, and i can't imagine exsistence without it... theatre was my major in college and i still strive to one day be an actor. i'm definitely a theatre geek. movies are a big part of my life... any showcase of true talent really. i was and always will be a dancer - i was a choreographer for a hip hop group for a few months, and have never had more fun. i used to be a singer, and recorded a "kids christian worship tape" with seven other kids when i was 8, lol... the abba-daddy kids (i couldn't make this shit up..)i love riding bikes and having sex, i love to go out drinking/dancing and am a firm marijuana activist (even though i'm sort of a non-practicing pothead at the moment...) i believe God created all men equal, except for women of course, who are much more important in every aspect. a good sense of humor makes or breaks u in my eyes... justin timberlake is the epitome of cool, johnny depp is the greatest actor, timbaland is my alltime favorite musician, and frank sinatra was the original pimp. these are more or less my interests (= ...
...but when i wake up from that dream, lol, i'm all about people that like to have a good time. having fun is important and essential to a happy exsistence. anyone that can laugh at themselves, or more importantly, the state of the world today. we lived in some pretty fucked up times, and laughing can be the best medicine... i'd like to meet smart, confident people, who understand and accept who they are in this life. artists, dancers, musicians, writers, actors, wise-guys, emo kids (ha!), social lites, anti-socials... really just cool kats in general... if u think ur worth knowing, ur probably right... oh, and i wouldn't mind meeting these people as well one day...
timbaland -is- music...my absolute favorite songs right now :
Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love
..]music is all a mood thing.. sometimes you want frank sinatra, sometimes u want the requiem for a dream soundtrack, sometimes you want the notorous b.i.g., sometimes u want showtunes, sometimes u want the beatles... well, all the time u could go for the beatles (=... but for me, it's all a mood thing - whether i'm emo or wanna dance will determine whats in my cd player at any given moment... my ipod is non-exsistent, but if i had one, my playlist at the moment may look something like...
...as for my alltime favorites : timbaland, justin timberlake, missy elliot, m.i.a., pharrell williams, leona lewis, amy winehouse, frank sinatra, ray charles, the beatles, john mayer, gavin degraw, marc brousard, swizz beatz, snoop dogg, aerosmith, nelly furtado, aaliyah, alicia keys, john legend, kanye west, common, lupe fiasco, usher, jack johnson, evanescence, kelly clarkson, pink, mariah carey, jay-z, maroon 5, my chemical romance, no doubt, christina aguilera, coldplay, and colbie caillat... holla
i'm such a nerd when it comes to movies...i worked at blockbuster and regal concurrently for a good portion of my life so there are few flicks i haven't seen...it's really all a mood thing - sometimes u wanna be scared, sometimes u wanna laugh, sometimes u wanna cry at how unfair and unrealistic romantic comedies can be...but a good movie is one where u walk away with something...where it's actually printed on ur brain in one way or another and whether it be a point made, a new perception, a quote, a scene...something about that film changed or inspired u, and u find ur self thinking about it long after the credits have rolled...or just something that u find insanely funny, that you can just quote randomly in the middle of a day and begin this back and forth with a friend or co-worker... i can't tell u how many relationships have begun simply by quoting anchorman... (=thats what really makes a movie good in my opinion...some of the films that have done that for me : juno. superbad. crash. life as a house. closer. great expectations. anywhere but here. double jeopardy. garden state. eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. knocked up. love, actually. i
books are awesome dude.. my new addiction is reading.. i love getting lost in these stories that seem so much more fascinating than real life sometimes.. my favorite author is undoubtably stephen king...my second all-time favorite author is neil gaiman.. initially because of the sandman, but i've branched out and ceased to be amazed..i love dark shit.. i'm not really sure why... always have though.. dean koontz, thomas harris, anne rice, clive barker... anything up that alley.i used to love anything related to star wars but have sort of drifted away from that realm toward the horror/suspense realm... i love the lord of the rings books. the bible is always good of course...
