Sinapse is a band that as of late '04 has taken almost 2 whole years to come together. Chris and Josh were introduced when they both joined a band called Cursed Earth. Cursed Earth was a 4 piece band that wrote a few originals but was short lived. After the break up of Cursed Earth, Chris and Josh started jamming with new drummers trying to find someone who would fit as well as their previous. After trying out a hand full of people they also decided they wanted to keep the number of band members to a minimal but realized the material that was being written would require a second guitarist, so Chris decided he would have to take up the role as singer in addition to playing guitar and recruited his younger brother Jeff as a second guitarist. Around the same time they came across a phenomenal drummer named Jimmy Holiday. The line up was complete and a hand full of songs were written but just as the band was getting ready to play some shows and record Jimmy left for college and decided he didn't have enough time to continue playing with the band. So for a few months Chris and Josh tried out a few other drummers but just as past drummers, none proved to be reliable enough to carry on with. The band had however already booked their first show and was determined to play it, so a week before hand Chris Houlihan was asked to join as a replacement for the show. The band played a 4 song set and received a welcoming response. After the show Chris Houlihan was asked to continue playing drums for as long as he is willing. Unfortunatly Sinapse was destin for one last line up change. Jeff had to depart unfortunaly because of an over schedualing for school and work so once again Sinapse was missing some sonic beef. They searched far and wide and tryed out many of the best guitar players in the land finally settling on one, Jaymz Simanski, a former guitar student of chris'. Jaymz's style fit the band very well and filled up the huge gap left from the departure of Jeff.Sinapse, since then as gone on to do great things. they have played with such national acts as Trivium, Children of Bodom, Amon Amorth, The Sword, Protest the Hero, and Sanctity. They made such and empression that they were asked back to play with Children of Bodom and Amon Amorth the next year they came to detroit. Sinapse has also developed a large local fan base by doing what they love and playing songs that they love. they have remained loyal to the heros who have taught them well. They are constantly honing there skills to deliver you with the most razor sharp riffs blazing solos massive drum sounds and thuderous low end. Sinapse is a force that shall leave you breathless....all should prepare for our coming
