According to rising hip-hop star Morgan Smith, Life Is Life, Love Is Love, the title of her Erving Wonder/Interscope Records debut CD. Rhyming with new-millennium girl-power confidence, 20-year-old Morgan is on a mission to reclaim the male-dominated hip-hop genre for young women to enjoy as well. While Morgan offers up a hard-hitting rhyme style, the beautiful and well-spoken Altadena, California native says she's simply an Every Girl who loves poetry, good books, and counts church and family ties as her foundation. Performing, dancing, and acting since she was a small child. Describing herself as an outgoing, "crazy" young woman who loves talking with people about their life experiences, Morgan says that her faith may well be tested by her chosen profession. But she feels that she has been given an important mission: "A recent sermon at youth church was about the fact that we are the up and coming generation responsible for the future of our world, and to love life and live it. She felt God was telling her, "I want you to be a voice to young women, and to know when going through bad times, to just lean on him." Morgan adds, "I'm very confident with myself. I've gone through so much and learned so much, and the message that I feel was given to me is to be someone to look up to. I love being in a position that is impacting on people's liFes...musically."
