Vivacious, conscious, liberated are just a few words that can be used to describe Nadean , Actress, Marketer, Merl Grovian....Jamaican.Her first love is the creative arts, in 1984 joined the Drama Club at Merl Grove High, and was the only first former in the cast to represent the school at Secondary Schools'; Drama Festival in that same year. In 1990 under the guidance of part-time teacher Mr. Simpson the school presented the award winning play "The One" at the festival and earned for itself commendations in direction and costume and Nadean's first accolade; Best Actress. After completing studies at the University of Technology in 1996 Nadean was persuaded to audition for the National Pantomime of Jamaica and was successful and as they say the rest is history.To date she has performed in theatre houses in Jamaica, Canada and the United States in productions such as Bugsie, Chicken Merry Hawk Deh Near, Miss Annie and Augus Mawnin and has also appeared with the University Players; a theatre group out of the University of the West Indies in the award winning production "he Black that I am.."Her work has been acknowledged by the Jamaican chapter of the International Theatre Institute and she has been nominated three (3) times for an acting award. with over 10 years being extensively involved in the creative arts as a actress coupled with a marketing career Nadean has had the opportunity to be actively involved in numerous marketing and public relations projects, spearheaded promotional events and planned advertising campaigns, she has also played host to major special events.
