Hello from Cardiff & District Samaritans!
Feeling low? Need someone to talk to? Cardiff & District Samaritans are available to provide
confidential emotional support 24 hours a day.
You can call us on
029 20 344 022 or
08457 90 90 90.
You can also contact us by email on
[email protected] .
Our base at
75 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff CF11 9AF is open to callers without appointment from 8am - 10pm, 7 days a week, so just come along if you prefer to talk face to face.
If you like, you can also write to us. Our postal address for letters is:
Chris
PO Box 9090
Stirling
FK8 2SA
Please note that we're not currently able to offer support for messages sent via MySpace! The Cardiff Samaritans MySpace Elf isn't trained to offer emotional support, she just does the code and makes friends.
Are you interested in volunteering for us? Samaritans is entirely dependent on voluntary support. It's a challenging experience and it can be very rewarding, knowing that you may have made a difference. We'd love to hear from you. We run regular open days at the branch office so you can get an idea of what we do and how we do it - keep your eyes on the blog for more info, or visit our website . Next open day is Sunday 2nd December at 2.15pm
As well as being run entirely by volunteers, we also rely entirely on donations to keep going.
Every call we answer costs us, on average, £2.47, and it costs
£125 just to keep the branch open for 1 day. Without donations we simply can't function. So, if you can spare any change, or if you have an awesome idea for a fundraising event, visit our website to find out how you can help us to help others!
You can easily donate via paypal. Every single penny we get is hugely appreciated.
If you shop .., visit buy.at/samaritans first - the shops in the scheme give us a donation every time you buy anything from them, and it doesn't cost you a single penny!
And finally: check out our exciting new SUPER SWAP project! We're trying to turn a wristband into a car: can you help? Join in the fun and grab yourself something cool in the process: superswap.wordpress.com
