for politics it's Chomsky,Zinn, Bakunin and Bookchin, for poetry/prose it's the Beats (Kerouac, Holmes, Ginsburg, Waldman, Snyder, Whalen, DiPrima etc) The Japanese haijin (Ryokan, Issa, Ikkyu , Basho etc)and I also dig Billy Childish, Aaron cometbus ,Lydia Lunch,and Dan Fante. However, most of the books i read are Buddhist texts. Also i'll check out pretty much anything published by City Lights
