Well, we've made it three years in the rocky world of retail!
Our anniversary party was a great success and we all had a ball.
We wouldn't have lasted this long without the support of our families and friends and the local music community!

Centaur Guitar is a full service guitar shop locally owned and operated by Kelly Manahan and Jason Snell, the dueling guitarists of Portland's own Muddy River Nightmare Band.
We opened in 2005 when we decided that no music stores in town were offering us the atmosphere or prices that we wanted on services or stuff. We started as Guitar Centaur (Clever, huh?) and promptly received a cease and decist order from another (you'd never guess who...) musical instrument retailer compelling us to rearrange our name.
We carry a wide array of new and used guitars, amps, and effects, as well as all of the other accoutraments that you'd expect from a class A guitar shop. If we don't have what you're looking for, we'll help you find another local shop that does. We all play in local bands, work too many hours for too little pay, and spend most of our money at local bars watching our friends bands. We're just like you!
