Tril:
Texas-born Christopher Thornton, aka burgeoning R&B artist Tril, grew up the middle of four children. Tril, whose influences include Musiq, BabyFace, Mint Condition, and Steve Wonder, participated in the Texas talent show scene in his early teens. The son of a die-hard '70s soul music fans, Tril performed in high school showcases, such as emcee battles and dance contests until he moved to Monterey, California and the management team, The Lane Brotha's(Anthony and Frankey Lane), brought him into the group R'Rendition signed to Quality Records. Tril's debut album, From the Moon to the Sun, was recorded mostly at Headnok Entertainment studios in Pinole, CA. Tril's first single, "Love Ain't What It Use 2 B ," has received great response on myspace.com and in local clubs.
