About Me

I've been playing guitar since my early teens. My earliest influences were classic rock and blues groups. I've always loved playing blues, the feeling of it always held an important place in me. I took formal guitar lessons for about five years along with piano for about two. I started to play in local bars and parties when I was 16 playing classic rock/blues/jam band covers. For a couple years I decided not to play in bands or go to jams. Until three years ago I went back to some blues jams and starting really getting into the blues and listening more and more to find more influences. And to find some real inspiration in guitar. Coming across Early Buddy guy ,Ronnie Earl and Anson Funderburgh among a ton of others were and still are huge inspirations and influences. Talking to guys at blues jams and shows helped me find some more good guitarists. I've been kicking around jams, going to sit in and playing shows with The Dyna-Kings who is led by George Dudack who is a true bluesman he not only knows the music but he knows the guys who make the music.

Influences: Ronnie earl, Duke robillard, Mike Morgan, Alex schultz,T-bone walker, Buddy guy ,Otis rush, Peter Greene, Kirk Fletcher, Robert cray, Albert Collins, Albert King, Freddie King, B.B. king, Jimmie and Stevie Ray vaughan, Wes montgomery,Kid Ramos, Anson funderburgh, Mike law, Jeff pipech James brown, Sam cooke (his Soul stirrers stuff especially) The Blind boys of alabama,Solomon burke ,Ov wright ,Guitar slim and the list goes on. I listen to pretty much everything.

San diego !!

I'm off to San diego April 2nd and I'm really excited and at the same time a little sad to leave. I've had the chance to take lessons from,sit in with, talk to and hang out with some of the best music...
