About Me

Berlin-based artist Jules Etienne is not afraid to try out new things, - play a new instrument or take a completely new direction with his music. He works in several projects and constellations at the same time, all with quite different styles, - folk, indie-pop, more experimental stuff and electronica.
When he records as Jules Etienne (which is his second and third surname), he plays all the instruments himself, - from the violin to the drums. His style is mostly calm, relaxed and melancholic, - songs with much warmth and depth. Jules Etienne’s warm vocals are perfect for songs like these. References may be Kings of Convenience, José Gonzalez, the Clientele, Simon & Garfunkel and of course Nick Drake, and definitely Autumn…
