His music has been the subject of serious interest to executives at Universal, J Records, B.B.E., Clef Records, Sony, Blackground, Motown, Universal, Warner Brothers, Def Jam, and Rockstar Entertainment.
Music that speaks for itself is this producers credo, but Mike's calling card is versatility - having worked with artists in the genres of R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop, Rock and Gospel. In today's environment of computed generated masterpieces and newly sampled hits, he is a rare breed of musician, vocal arranger, and producer.
Mike's peers regard him as a producer among producers, due to his incredible musical ear, hands on approach and proficient artist development skills. Wanya stated he's one of the realest producers he has ever worked with and Wyclef describes his music as "great work."
In 2008, Mike built a new studio in the heart of Manayunk (Philadelphia), Pennsylvania. This new studio is now the center of the creativiity, musical inspiration, and consistent pioneering effort of the Boykinbeats name and reputation.
