About Me

A Writer living and working in CT
I tend towards the unconventional in pretty much all aspects of my life. I think of Thoreau as my philosophical ideal and model, but like him my (metaphorical) year at Walden has been more like 3 or 4 months at a shot over several years.
I think of myself as a writer, a novelist, specifically, but as of yet, I am mostly unpublished. I've had a few short stories see print in small press, and I've got a little following for the Audio-Drama I've been writing and producing over the last year, but the novel manuscript is currently being re-tooled.
I earn my bread by working in retail. I became a manager pretty early on, and I've been haphazardly climbing the corporate ladder since. I'm not really into it, I'm definitely looking for more out of life, but it's stable, and I'm sticking with it until something better pans out.

My Interests

Literature, History (Medieval,12th C), Animals, Geeky Stuff
I'm also a very creative person and am usually spending my spare-time working on artsy type things. I consider my writing to be my real work, so my fun creativity mostly involves sculpting and painting, nothing serious but fun fantasy and sci-fi stuff.

I'd like to meet:

Thoughtful, well spoken folks, as well as the occasional wacky free-spirit type

Books:

Beowulf, The Illiad, Gilgamesh, the Song of Ice and Fire saga

Death of Heroes
