Promotion with a glitzy twist and a catchy underground whiff is the name of Marcelo’s game. From fashion to art to dj-ing and music consultancy, no path is left unexplored. You name it, you have it.
Marcelo Burlon’s unique role is providing press offices with on-the-spot, on-target support, be it product placement, launch parties, special events and so on. All of it with a biasing, transversal, totally original approach that is absolutely distinctive.
Marcelo Burlon cut his teeth at Dolce & Gabbana and Alessandro Dell’Acqua as event promoter and celebrities pr. He subsequently moved to collaborate with a roster of clients including Karla Otto, Slam Jam, Nike, Diesel, all the while keeping up his role as pr person for budding designer Riccardo Tisci, who is now creative director at Givenchy in Paris. While working in public relations for contemporary art space Cardi Gallery, a role he still keeps to this day, Marcelo also served as pr person and fashion editor at Rodeo Magazine and Crash, further honing his insight into fashion both as system and as a means of communication.
Going completely solo in 2006, Marcelo Burlon counts Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Maison Martin Margiela, Versace, Kiehl’s, Calvin Klein, among his latest clients.
