Well, hello indeed.
I'm Erin Craig. I'm just your average twenty-something musician, who is dabbling in a bunch of different things musically right now. I live in Boston, and I go to Berklee, and I'm trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
You may be asking, "Why are all the songs on here like, two years old?" And the answer is that I've been too busy playing and recording other people's music to do any of my own. That's hopefully going to change soon. In the meantime, check out:
Mike's band Greedy Cherry ;
Nick's music page Exousia ;
Bre's music page;
The Undeca Quintet ;
and RubyBC and the Music Factor
for a taste of what I'm up to right now.
MySpace is actually a terrible way to contact me. You can find me on LiveJournal and Facebook , both of which I check much more than I do MySpace.
If you're interested in the details of the tunes that are up right now...
Metro by Erin Craig - Recorded in October 2003 by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra
I spent grade 11 writing this baby.
Reverie by claude Debussy, arranged by Erin Craig - Recorded by the MacEwan combo in April 2006
This is a classical piano song that I thought would do well as a straight-eighths fusion-jazz tune for seven-piece combo. Sometimes I surprise even myself.
Mind Trick by Ben and Jamie Cullum, arranged and orchestrated by Erin Craig - Recorded in April 2006 at Erin Craig's jury
This was the closer on my jury. I added all the horn parts to it, as well as the part where I talk on the microphone. This is me when I hadn't quite grown out of the awkward-talking phase.
Misty Frequencies by Che Fu & Godfrey De Grut
This is an awesome hip hop-ish tune by Che Fu & Godfrey De Grut. They are from New Zealand. I sequenced this tune in Reason and recorded the vocals in Logic for a project for my MTEC-111 class; I did way too much work for what the project is worth, but it was fun, and it sounds pretty sweet.
