Don't watch much but will occasionally catch House, The Wire (HBO)
When I was living in the South then the Washington DC area, I got really interested in Civil War and Colonial History. Some great books from these periods are 1776, Manhunt, and The Killer Angels. Currently reading Mayflower which chronicles the hardships the pilgrims faced upon arriving in America.
My Mom - having to raise two boys on the not-so-good side of the tracks while working at night and getting straight A's during the day at College (Nursing)AND making sure we were always provided for an staying out of trouble.My son, Justin - he has a genetic condition called Neurofybromytosis (NF - please visit www.ctf.org for more info) which can cause tumors on any part of the body and like in Justin's case, is accompanied with significant learning and physical disabilities. At 4 years old, he has had more doctors visits, tests, therapies,etc than most in a lifetime. Through it all, he has remained strong, happy, loving and selfless.
