YAAAAARRRRRRR!
Hey, this is Matt 'BONES' and this is the official "F.U.B.A.R. UGLYSPACE PAGE"! I got the blessings & props from very close friends of the late Joe Gonzo, and I'm sure he would be stoked on the page itself!!!
Back in '88 when I was a roadie for the local So.Cal band Guillatine, Cris McCarthy hit me up to do a cover for this band he was involved with called F.U.B.A.R., and that cover ended up being 'The Drunk Undead' demo.
I also witnessed F.U.B.A.R. playing in one of many of the legendary "M STREET" parties where I first met with Joe Gonzo and was blown away by his persona as well as his coolness to boot! Not only was the band one of the most favorite local party bands, the music was also noted as having influences of punk, metal, & thrash; with the personal noted poetry of Joe Gonzo's lyrics!
When I heard of the news of Gonzo's passing a few years ago from a mutual friend, I was saddend but remembered how much he made a lasting impression one everyone he met!
With that said...
