West London boy at heart, with East End tendencies and a weakness for W1 AKA Soho. If you’re a ‘non Londoner’ that’s geographic gibberish but for us humble Londoners its make or break social identity. I have two uniforms; by day my suit & by night my skinny jeans and obligatory vintage tee-shirt (which admittedly has become the mainstream these days but I’m not setting the trends here, just followin’ em). Both are essential for me to get in character and feed the other side’s alter ego. On one side I’m your bonafide corporate oil whore, who defies the ‘right side/left side of the brain theory’, taking every opportunity to indulge myself in the “culture vulture†generation thriving around me.
I pride myself on being as comfortable in the board room as at Hay-On-Wye book festival or stomping round DTPM with my top off, wedged between a sea of disco-titted-muscle-mary’s. Phew!
You won’t be at my dinner table if you’re an education or background snob, salt of the earth people only apply (naturally, exceptions for Ellie are made!). I refuse to have a television as it gives me anxiety. Ok, truth be known; I think it’s a government conspiracy to sedate the middle classes (or, I could have just watched too much X-Files as a geeky teenager!?).
The highlight of my day is my cycle through Hyde Park to work, getting 8 hours sleep and moisturizing. We’re like old friends now, thanks for takin’ the time.
