About Me

Hi My name is Nathan Schwarz and I am a musician from Elmira ON. I grew up playing piano since the age of 4 or 5 years old and spent about 12 years taking lessons. I have been playing shows now for a living for about a year now and it has been keeping me alive. Barely. I currently live in Fernie, B.C. which happens to be one of the coolest places in the world. I spent the winter working and playing music at a hotel here which specializes in live music and DJ's. I have been writing and performing my own songs on both the piano and guitar since I was about 16 or 17. I have also learned tons of radio tunes that I use to take requests while playing in restaraunts and lounges. I am currently working on touring around the Vancouver to Calgary area, but hope to get back onto road full time again by the end of the summer. I started playing bars and restaraunts around the Toronto area and look forward to returning to that area to do some shows as well as heading to the East coast because I've never been there but I've heard that it is pretty killer out there. I also plan on spending some time playing on the cruise ships, but apparently you need to know an infinite amount of music. Ah, time will tell what all happens. I have been jamming with several other musicians around Fernie this winter and there is the possibility of a new band in the makings. Funk, Soul, R&B, Blues, Jazz, and Rock 'n Roll anybody?? Maybe even some bluegrass if you ask nicely?? To all the friends and family back at home, I look forward to seeing you again. 'Till then, keep on chillin, ect and I'll try and stay out of trouble.
