SHORT BIOGRAPHY:

-In 1987, BAING found himself being a fatherless 8 year old working the streets of MIAMI, and moving from project to project with his single working mother and 2 siblings.
-He was a DJ for the infamous UNCLE AL (r.i.p.).
-At the age of 14 he got locked up on an armed robbery and kidnapping case.
-He then served 12 years in prison.
-While in prison, he began to write music, and made a name for himself by winning the HENRY TALENT SHOW 4 out of the 5 years that he competed (the 1st year he was disqualified for explicit language). As the word was spread, this earned him a legendary status throughout the Florida penetentiary system.
-When released in 2006, the first place he went to even before going home, was to TRICK DADDY's studio.
-He immediately proceeded to release his first mixtape: GRI-AMI Phaze 1, which got him widespread notoriety.
-He was featured on PITBULL's El Mariel album, and has since then done collaborations with a number of artists (particularly) in the Miami area, including C-Ride, SOFLA, PICCALO, Brisco, RAHDEEKHAL, Bud, and of course his Co-DEFENDANTS crew which includes REX, SHALOM, and TANT and his Dj, Player P.
-He has gained the utmost respect by the Miami Hip Hop community, both for his lyrical skills, and for his street AND prison credibility.
-In 2007 he released GRI-AMI Phaze 2 (the EP)
-On July 4th, 2008, he released GP3 "the mixtape", and is currently working on his album (among other projects) while also doing concerts and shows with the likes of Rick Ross, Trina, and the Dunk Ryders.
-He has been featured on the cover of the prestigious Hip-Hop magazine, "Ozone", and in December, 2007, he was featured in the MIAMI TIMES for his work with "The Real Talk Project", which features him visiting juvenile detention centers to speak to the youth about his experiences. This project was founded in collaboration with Maria Sachs, State Representative of West Palm Beach, Florida.
-When asked about his endevors, he casually replies, "It's like a prophecy to me cause I always seen it like that. I feel like the whole movement was waiting on me." He then gets excited and elaborates, "So many of my dawgs in prison wanna see me make it happen. It's the energy from inside the gates that's stirring all this up. They get on the phone and tell their people about me. They say I'm the best that ever came through the Florida penitentiary system. They really want me to do this. I knew i was going to get out and stay focused. I KNOW WHAT IT TAKES."
-BAING's ultimate goal is to use his musical fame to try to reach out to the youth in an effort to demonstrate to them that one can overcome negativity with positivity.
