Music Marketing Masterminds
If you're anything like me, your music means the world to you. Whether you make beats, sing, rap, play an instrument, or simply record your friends, I feel where you're coming from. I personally love making beats, but when I first came onto the Internet scene only a couple years ago, I found it very hard to compete with everything that was already online. I struggled to to gain attention and found it hard to sell anything for almost 2 years before realizing that I was doing things completely backwards.
But, like I said above, I've found the Secret Formula to massive online success and have created this page to help others acheive the success online that I have created for myself, stop CHASING down people to listen to your music, and start ATTRACTING unlimited amounts of adoring fans and paying customers. Before I tell you anymore about that, let me tell you a little about myself...
While growing up in central, IL, I was always a HUGE rap fan. Though I listened to many other different genres of music, I always seemed to gravitate back to the thumping beats and rythmic lyrics put forth by my generation of rap artists. When I was 15, I bought my first beat making program, Acid Hip Hop 2.0. I spent hours putting loops together to create beats on my computer. Here's a video I made with some of my newer beats!
As I learned more about producing, I began using FL Studio to create my own melodies so I would not have to rely on prebuilt loops. I graduated high school with decent grades, but soon dropped out of college, looking for a more exciting way to express myself. I started writing a lot and began writing my own rap lyrics when I was about 19. Soon after, I had recorded two full CD's of music under the rap name Grimey M.D.
I later hooked up with some other rappers to form a rap group named Camp Grimy, which was my latest venture with rapping online. Our music is still up on Myspace today at http://myspace.com/grimyproductionz . I was doing everything I could to gain fans and attention online, but it seemed like it just wasn't enough. Also, I couldn't keep a job because I was so dedicated to my music. I began searching for ways to make money online...
I put my rap career on hold when I started my first company Talent Promotions that helped Myspace artists boost their plays and views. I knew I could create a website, help other artists flourish, and put some money in my pocket at the same time. I found that marketing online is a LOT harder than everyone on the Internet likes to make you think.
I spent hours going through e-Book after e-Book, course after course, seminar after seminar, trying to learn how to become successful with an online business! I was so frustrated with paying hundreds of dollars for pay-per-click advertising every month. Every dime I was making online went right back into my business for advertising, and I knew there had to be a better way!
I was STILL struggling to make a decent profit in my business, until I met a very successful internet marketer who took me under his wing and showed me exactly what he was doing to create a massive list of adoring customers online. By then, I had moved on from my original online business Talent Promotions, and I was promoting an MLM that involved eBay as well as a website hosting company. I was finally very successful with my online businesses thanks to the personal mentoring I received but, I still wanted to be involved in the music business. I thought to myself,
"I really liked helping out other music artists online. What can I do to help them acheive the success I'm seeing in my other businesses?" A light went on in my head, and I began creating Music Marketing Masterminds. I created a completely free bootcamp series that can be accessed by any artist online by simply putting in a name and e-mail. Now, I love what I do no matter what is involved. I'm working with music artists like myself, and helping them achieve their dreams. My goal is to create a community of Music Marketing Masterminds online that are all seeing great success in their music careers! In this day in age, artists such as Tila Tequila and thousands of others are strictly creating fame and fortune online WITHOUT a record deal, and I know that with my marketing expertise, I can help others achieve the success they deserve. It's my dream, and I hope I can be of service to those who would like to help me fulfill it!
