Formly known by his government name Rayshawn L. Smith, $tretch was brought into this world in the winter of 1986. As a youngster, $tretch was exposed to all kinds of music, particularly old school rap. As he grew older with age, so did his vocabulary. At 16, a friend of $tretch suggested that he start writing rhymes because of his extensive vocabulary and book knowledge. Not known for his music ability, but a music lover at heart, $tretch began writing down his rhymes. $tretch was finally introduced to O.G.
