I try not to watch alot of TV, but every now and then I get sucked into the history channel. I also never miss LOST.
Chuck Palahniuk, Hunter S. Thompson, Chuck Klosterman, Kurt Vonnegut. There are more but these are at the top of the list. For a good read check out "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera, and "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn.
