Piiit

For more than 15 years, Piiit is spinning around Belgium and Europe. His key words are: "party, mixity and conviviality". It's quite natural for him to support Art in all its forms.After bringing back the old days by organising (and spinning in) a Sunday Tea Dance, and made ballroom dancing a new trend in Belgium, Piiit tried to find the missing link in gay parties. So, he organised, with Luuuk, the Different parties, followed by Next», two years after. The concept is to propose to the queer/straight crowd another image of the gay community, proposing them a complete mixity in genders and musics. His taste for ecclectism made him work for several parties and events like les Fêtes de Gand, Bruxelles 2000 but also "vernissage" like the one for the Pierre & Gilles exhibition. He's also spinning regularly abroad (Paris, Amsterdam, Lausanne, Lille ou Malaga). Piiit is mad bout Art as well as music. He's also a photographer and has worked as a film editor. He's also been drummer and percussionist for the french singer Dominique A, during "la Mémoire Neuve" tour. (1995-1997). It was quite evident for him to create Gimmik, in 2005, an Art shop/Gallery, selling creation from (mainly) belgian artists and creators.
