About Me

Once oz outback dweller, then Adelaide city b-girl, now Vietnam volunteer and asia explorer...
I love music and radio - and combined these passions in student radio for many years. First presenting a funk/soul/jazz show in 1999, then an oz hip hop show with my friend KZA before she moved to Melbourne where I continued the Hip Hop Remedy as a solo show until Nish came to help out. The last broadcast was in 2004 when I moved across to the news dept.
Study has been a large part of my life... due to my love of and involvement in the scene, I wrote my honours thesis on hip hop culture in Adelaide in the late 90s... feels like a lifetime ago now.
I was also involved in organising a hip hop component for the Adelaide Arts Festival (2002) . We held a two-day symposium on indigenous hip hop bringing together groups from all over Australia and the world, that culminated in a concert in the heart of Adelaide, Victoria Square.
Then there was film, where I promoted hip hop films for the Adelaide International Film Festival and later helped bring together the Adelaide Hip Hop Film Festival.
I am also a hippie at heart - environmental issues have always been of great concern to me, and I'm now in Hanoi trying to make some kind of difference in this crazy world...
