Sign of Jonah was formed in May of 2006. The original members, sisters Cari and Julia, have been singing together for about 20 years, but doing gigs on occasion for about 3 years. After joining with Oscar and Marty, Sign of Jonah retains its simple sounding music, but also gains two talented musicians who add depth to the music as well.
Cari has loved to sing since she was little. It's always been her passion. Fortunately, she's going to finish up college before she drops out to go on tour or anything. Good girl, Cari.
Julia started writing songs during the early years of college (if you don't count her rendition of Phoebe's "Smelly Cat" that was taylored to the family's "unique" cat growing up). She began playing guitar at the end of high school and quickly fell in love with it.
The fact that Sign of Jonah exists is only explained by God's work in the musicians' lives, and we look forward to all He would like to do through the songs and through the lives we're connected to.
