Who would I like to meet?
I'd like to meet people who have some (not all) of the same interests as me. I'd like to meet people with whom I can hold interesting, intelligent conversations.

Anyone who is able to play a musical instrument should be proud of their accomplishment.
Festival de International in Lafayette brings large crowds. Even if you get drenched like a drowned rat.
Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou? The music or the movie? Its hard to decide which I like more.

Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me
Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me
There's no place I can be
Since I found Serenity
But you can't take the sky from me...
Sam Winchester: Dean, there's ten times as much lore about angels as there is about anything else we've ever hunted.
Dean Winchester: You know what, there's a ton of lore on unicorns too. In fact, I hear that they ride on silver moonbeams, and that they shoot rainbows out of their ass!
Sam Winchester: Wait, there's no such thing as unicorns?
Oma Desala: There is only one thing we can ever truly control.
Daniel: What's that?
Oma Desala: Whether we are good, or evil.
Max Guevara: Girls kick ass; says so on a t-shirt.
Bye bye baby.
Don't be long.
I'll worry about you while you're gone.
I'll think of you in my dreams.
You'll never know just what you mean to me...
Wash: [Playing with dinosaurs.] [Stegosaurus:] "Yes... this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... this land."
[Tyranosaurus Rex:] "I think we should call it your grave."
[Stegosaurus:] "Ah. Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal."
[Tyranosaurus Rex:] "Hahaha. Mine is an evil laugh."
Goodbye, Wash, I'll miss you!
Dr. Cameron: "All this hate is toxic."
Reading is where imagination grows.
"Maybe that's why God made us kids first and built us close to the ground, because He knows you got to fall down a lot and bleed a lot before you learn that one simple lesson. You pay for what you get, you own what you pay for... and sooner or later whatever you own comes back home to you."

Nathaniel: "No matter what you do or how bad you feel about it, life just goes on. Life doesn’t give a shit that you’re sorry or upset or deranged or tormented. Life just goes on, and you gotta get on with it, or sit in the middle of the road and feel sorry for yourself."

Katrina, Rita, 9/11 and the war in the middle east are horrendous events that people can, and will, feel hopeless over. As one of the thousands who lived through Katrina in New Orleans, what struck me the most in a time of unspeakable traggedy were the small, yet totally heroic efforts of regular people. In a crisis situation, people cling to any shred of hope they can find. And it's hard to find heroes amidst the government inaction, the overt betrayal of the infirm and elderly, the looting and the unspeakable crimes that were, and still are, committed. But the heroes are most certainly out there, and they deserve our thanks and our respect.
