Lydia “LaDiva” Raymond was born July 31, 1987 in North Central Hospital in the Bronx, New York. Born into a Jamaican family, LaDiva has many different styles and flavors. She was always a handful to her mother in which she got expelled out of 2 schools and suspended numerous amounts of times. At a young age LaDiva’s mother had her attend Barbizon school for modeling and was recognized as a gorgeous young female who loved the camera and the camera loved her. Later on she attended various agencies such as IMTA, Star Search, and Wilehmina, and grew more and more ambitious and had high hopes of becoming a model and actress. In high school was when LaDiva discovered another talent; Rapping. Which started out as just wanting a hot voicemail, and writing raps about certain situations, rapping quickly became LaDiva’s passion. It was always a thought but she never thought she could pull it off as a female. Inspired at a early age by such artists; Salt & Pepper, The Notorious BIG, Lisa “Left-EyE” Lopez, Lady Saw, and of course, Janet Jackson, LaDiva has had a passion to perform and be a full-blown entertainer. LaDiva has had a lot of ups and downs in which she had a manager who tragically died of a heart attack, and now is even more determined by the dream of her manager to “blow-up” and take the world by storm. LaDiva was once ½ of a rap duo called “Xclusive Divaz” which performed in Atlanta and took the audiences’ heart, but the female sensation unfortunately didn’t work and eventually split. Now a solo artist once again and is more than ready to be in the entertainment industry, LaDiva is focused and is ready to bring to the industry what they lack. LaDiva’s personality is so colorful and bright. LaDiva also designs clothes and has won best dressed in her high school years. Her music is not the typical rap music, her songs is very unique, and are written all by her. Always the center of attention, LaDiva is a fiend for fashion and definitely has a bright future ahead of her. Smart, beautiful, talented, versatile, and a lot of energy is always the ingredients that makes the next Big Super Star!!
