So "The Shelby Forest Click " was born and with only a microphone , keyboard, and a recorder started droppin original material . They lacked the funds they needed to produce their music. They hustled up on some money and got a beat machine, 8-Track, A-DAT and a good mic. Then started on their first album CALL IT WHATCHA WANT. With PLAYA BO making the beats and DVS doin most of the rappin.Which they sold out of the trunk of their cars, street corners, and pushed up and down the hallways of their school. They struggled with being mocked and doubted. The doubt they recieved only gave them the Motivation they needed. Something was still missing, they needed something more. They introduced BIG BRAVE DAVE and "NATE DOGG" on such songs as DEMONS RESSURECTION and YOU JUST KNOW WHATCHA HEARD. Imitators and copy cats soon followed! They began on their second release FROM THA HOOD TO THA WOODZ (Sum Been Waitin, Sum Been Hatin On which they Introduced Lil Pat former rapper who you may now know as " Lil Wyte" (who stole his name from the Original WHITEY LA MACK), Lil Pat appeared on 1 verse on the previous release, ACE from the TRIO ELITE, and PEETIE who sings and raps on CADILLAC DREAMS. In the midst of things happening they lost the late member " Nate Dogg " on December 17, 2000 when he was killed by a drunk driver. After this happened they wanted more than ever to push the success onward in memory of their dear departed. A year after their second album, DVS decided to start on a solo project and TEMPTED was released in March 2002, which turned out to be a hectic year for the rapper. He had a piece of his life taken away when two men invaded their home where "DVS" lost his beautiful girlfriend Kera on January 3, 2002 . This inspired The Shelby Forest Click to push hardder than ever. The first two albums were released under "Tha Brickwall" which than was changed to LABRAT MUZIK which was started by DVS and PLAYA BO. Doing Shows, Recording, Selling CDs, Shirts and hats they were enjoying their accomplishments. Their work consists of storytelling rhymes of life situations and things that they have been through .You ask how they are these days well let me inform you they are working on some " TOP SECRET " stuff right now. The following members now of 2006 would consist of Mack DVS , Big Brave Dave aka "Tha Neighborhood Hit Man " Chuck Sweaty, aka (Gnarley Charlie) , J. Nelson, Big A , and Lil Shrimpy.
