kasey and layne

(Please note off the bat, that the songs on here are SO old....like years and years old, we have yet to record and post new songs. Keep that in mind when you listen to these...we have improved a lot and changed our sound a little...stay tuned for new stuff!)kasey & layne is made up of the hinton twins (born two years apart) and their guitar, piano and recorder skills. They love to write all of their own music and lyrics and tend to bicker when they practice - and sometimes onstage, although it's very endearing. Usually they can read each others minds and they don't even have to speak to communicate. It can be quite creepy actually. As a musical ensemble they have shared the stage with such musicians and bands as Clann Zu, Bedouin Soundlcash, Joel Plaskett, Peter Elkas, Julie Dorion, Matthew Baber, Greg Macpherson and Forest City Lovers. Not crazy as in needs to be in a straight jacket crazy, but crazy as in she's loud and fun and funny and always bouncing off the walls. She loves dancing around to whatever music is playing in her head, and the only times she is ever sitting still is to play the piano, make some art, watch Arrested Development or to read a really really good book. Layne is 18, but can be oh so mature for her age (if she feels so inclined). However, she can also be a perfect, bratty, annoying younger sister. She loves clothes and has lot's of them to feed her incredible fashion sense. She's also quite the nerd, with an artsy and outdoorsy side. Layne enjoys climbing trees bare foot, baking cookies, going to shows and concerts and living with her amazingly cool older sister. She eats pop corn like there is no tomorrow. She's freakishly intelligent, with an especially accute sense of direction and out of herself and Kasey, she is definitely always right. She loves acting and secretly wants to be famous.kasey: is cool. she is the oldest. she is a vegetarian. she loves art. she loves tiger tail ice cream. She's 20 and currently living in Toronto with layne to pursue bigger music dreams and dig herself into debt while going to art school. She makes a fantasitc older, bossy, controling and snotty sister. Kasey is probably crazier than Layne, she's just better at hiding it. She likes to draw, write, keep her nose in a book or play guitar when she is not trying to clean her room. (which, by the way, never gets clean). Obviously she is a nerd. I mean, come on, she watches Star Trek! She loves clothes and shopping almost as much as her sister, and is very jealous of Layne's shoe collection. Kasey has an obsession with documenting her past and making time capsules. She speaks french with her friends and her sister.
