Frequently Asked Questions:
1) Q: How do I become an extra/ featured extra?
A: You will need to visit our website at www.onlocationcasting.net, fill out a Talent Application and upload 1-2 photos. It is FREE for the basic profile required to work on "Friday Night Lights".2) Q: Do I get paid?A: Yes, you get paid on an 8 hr scale with time and a half after 8 hours. The minimum pay for general extras is $56.00 for an 8 hour day, plus overtime. Some more featured roles are at higher base rates.
3) Q: How will I be paid?
A: When you come to work, you will fill out a pay "voucher". You must have a valid photo ID and your social security number in order to be paid. At the end of the night when you sign out you will be given a copy "receipt" of your voucher. (*please make sure that all pay rates, hour and adjustments are correct before you leave the sign out table as changes can NOT be made after the vouchers are sent to payroll!!) You will receive a check in the mail usually 10-14 business days after your work date. If you do not receive your check within 14 business days, you should call the PAYROLL company (CAPS Payroll) at 847-480-7366. They are the only ones who handle your payroll and ar the only ones who can discuss it with you or help you resolve payroll issues
A: We are looking for all ages and ethnicities. Anyone interested in working under the age of 15 needs parental supervision on set. Anyone who is affilated with a group, ie cheerleading team, church group, bowling team, etc, may sign up as a group to receive a donation to your affilation.
5) Q: Will I get to be on tv?
A: Maybe, maybe not. Throughout the day you will partake in different scenes that are being shot. Whether or not you are included in the chosen camera angle/take cannot be determined. The more times you work on the show the greater the chance of you being able to see yourself on tv.
