About Me

.. As far as my personal life goes...I’ve been with the same wonderful man for almost 9 years. We "got hitched" in Hawaii on 2/24/07. It was so chill and relaxing. He's my soul comrade. I met him when I was 15...went to prom with him when I was 17...and started seriously dating him the day I turned 20. So I did the school thing..blah, blah, blah, you know the story. Now, we are both at a point in our lives where we can relax and have a little fun again...in moderation. We bought our house almost 3 years ago, found the jobs were stickin to, and adopted our kids...2 great dane pups a year old Sept 06. We hope to have a baby of our own soon. Time will tell! I graduated from California University in Dec 05 with a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice. This only took a year and a half (attending 2 summer semesters..highly recommended)....it was worth time and effort. I've done work as a TSS/CSS (Therapeutic/Community Support). About two weeks after grad school, I moved on to working as a BSC (Behavioral Specialist Consultant)in washington county. I primarly provide assessment, program design and monitoring rather than direct therapy as I did as a TSS/CSS. I do miss the one on one direct therapy I used to provide. I find myself wanting to join in floor time with my TSS and families. I work with families of children within the Autistic spectrum as well as children with various behavioral issues. I truly enjoy this type of work, flexible schedule and the chance to see progress in someone who previously may have slipped through the cracks...priceless. Yes, the key is early intervention, but we need not ever give up! Some pretty amazing things come to those who wait patiently. It's nice to be able to look forward to going to work, rather than dreading it;)Ciao!Layout made by

My Interests

I'm utterly bored with trivial day to day stuff other than work. I'm interested in anything I don't have to do every day, does that make sense to anyone?

I'd like to meet:

My mom..... "The conception of worth, that each person is an end per se, is not a mere abstraction. Our interest in it is not merely academic. Every outcry against the oppression of some people by other people, or against what is morally hideous is the affirmation of the principle that a human being as such is not to be violated. A human being is not to be handled as a tool but is to be respected and revered." - Felix Adler, From An Ethical Philosophy of Life
'

Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?' 'That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,' said the Cat. 'I don't much care where --' said Alice. 'Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat. '--so long as I get somewhere,' Alice added as an explanation. ~ Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
