Catch 22 by Joseph Heller, Anything by Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett generally, especially Mort, Soul Music and Good Omens (with Neil Gaimen), Milan Kundera especially The Unbearable Lightness of Being, George Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm are also favourites - not least for their spooky prescience!
