About Me

Family is very important to me, while my four children are all grown and on their own I enjoy getting together when the opportunity arises. I expect that any woman with children would share the same value. I am a fun guy (but not a mushroom) I believe laughter is the best medicine unless you are recovering from abdominal surgery. I enjoy playing games like cards, Cranium, Trivial Pursuit etc. I am not particularily competititive but find games to be a good social outlet. You learn a lot about people when you play together. I enjoy cooking but preparing food for two would be much more enjoyable.

My Interests

I enjoy hiking, fishing, and writing (not all at the same time)I like dancing and singing as well.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet someone who enjoys the simple things in life as well as the sublime. She will value friendship first as it is the cornerstone of any longterm relationship. She will like to dance and listen to a variety of music. Someone who appreciates the romantic comedy as much for the comedy as the romance. She will be enthralled with my multi-tasking ability as we walk AND talk together. Finally, she will enjoy being appreciated for who she is.

Music:

I like a variety of music. Swing, Big band, Rock, Oldies, Country, Pop, Classical.I find music uplifting.

Movies:

I enjoy comedies the most; Airplane is a favorite.In Drama I like Contact and The Dead Poet's Society. Favorite actors include Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Robin Williams, Ben Stiller, Julia Roberts, and Sandra Bullock.

Television:

In television I like CSI:Miami, CSI: New York. I enjoy the show Numb3rs. I like watching C-span Book TV. Viewing PBS can be enjoyable at times as well.

Books:

I like reading non-fiction especially magazines and newspapers. I did enjoy The Da Vinci Code, and The Five People you Meet in Heaven.

Heroes:

I think the term hero has been overused in this day and age. While people overcoming tremendous odds to become successful are certainly noteworthy they are self motivated. A hero to me is one who sacrifices himself for the sake of another person or persons. Both types of people are worth emulating.As a Christian and a teacher my hero is Jesus Christ.
