Well...Nick Twomey...what can I say...Known him for 20 years and well can I take this opportunity to say what a pleasure it has been sitting besides him on a rollacoster of a life so far. He has highs, he has lows, he has twisty bits (don't tell the ladies)he has dips, he has splashes, everything goes!!!Seriously he is a guy who tries to do the right thing by everyone but doesn't always succeed. Always trying to be nice to everyone...never nasty!!! Hopefully you guys will agree...especially the ladies in his life!!!He is currently studying at Loughborough Uni doing Sport Science and Mathematics. Yes people living the dream...Maths rocks...a pencil along the table if you jog it hard enough!!! He had a year of working before joining Uni and met the coolest people South-West London has to offer...big shout out to the Shaw & Co Crew...he love you all sooooo much...you best get your arses up to Loughborough in the new term!!! He really enjoyed working!!!As for Uni it has been very strange for Nick...some really cool people...but it is a sausage factory...although he has met some nice girls there...you know who you are!!! He gets his advice from his advice guru on girls...her name is Gracie Babie...anything you want to know ask her...she tells it to you straight!!!He has moved into a house in Loughborough with some strange but original characters!!! He says that they all smell...sorry thats what he said!!! Big shout to the house!!! Rob the one who will always be up for going and getting smashed, Dave who is a late arrival as he replaces the ever unreliable Andy...Dave is Ping Pong mad...even more than me, Paul (Wilsher) the man with all the funny ideas and unpredictable ideas...what will he think of next!!!...and finally the little one, the DJ himself fresh from the Kent massive Lord Ward! (Greg!!!)Nick also plays a lot of Ping Pong...and a big shout goes out to Oaks TTC in Acton...he loves that place...every Monday, Thursday and even Friday!!! Loughborough Table Tennis as well..big shout to Will, Hannes and Katie!!!Running for Nick has been an interesting one...finishing his first marathon in May. But it was the 2nd marathon he had taken part in...after going to Stratford apon Avon to compete in the Shakespeare Marathon the year before...however just two weeks before the race he sustained an injury which he decided he would run with, however at 20 miles he called it a day, after the pain building since mile 1. This did not get him down and after 4 months of physiotherapy, completed the course a year later in an impressive 3hours 42 mins...not bad for a first marathon. Nick has just competed in the Robin Hood Marathon in Nottingham this September and despite hitting serious cramp in both legs at 21 miles managed to struggle the last 5 miles to record a personal best of 3 hours 38 mins 24 secs on the gun and a chip time of 3 hours 36 mins 20 secs. The cramp may be due to the unfortunate halt in training three weeks before the race when Nick sustained a painful injury to his knee playing in an indoor footy tournament. His knee swung on the wrong axis, however with some ice treatment and a lot of time in the gym building the muscles around the knee he got back on with training a mere week later. Nick is now considering whether to compete in the Luton Marathon in December...he is still undecided at present. He has just competed in the Cabbage Patch 10 mile race in Twickeham (Sunday 15th October) and recorded a PB of 1 hour 9 mins, however was hoping for a better time...however he worked hard in the race. He suffered from a lack of motivation in the run up to the race, but is happy with his overall performance on the day with all things considered.So what else does Nick do...well he runs a St. John Ambulance Cadet Division. Yes that's right in Loughborough and Twickenham!!! Its fantastic big shout to everyone!!!Is there anything else to say about Nick...family has to be mentioned...he is close to his brothers...demonstrated by the loyalty at school...brothers stick together...and his Gran...well what can I say she is cool...anyone that has met her knows she is street...she knows whats happenin in the world!!!Big shout out to her!!!Nick has a new love in his life...well I say love more a fetish...haha...he has fallen in love with Monkeys. He can't get enough of them...he loves Monkeys and has two of his own!!!
