I am into physical fitness, reading for pleasure, scrapbooking, music, tattoos and dogs. But not tattooed dogs.
My hubby and I have a Shiba Inu dog and she is my sweet fuzz bucket.
Storm wants to know what's taking so long with that treat!
I have a bed bug!
My awesome girlfriend Katie sent Storm a present from England!! Storm says, "Where's my bloody treat???"
This is my new boy, Zuki. He's part Shar-Pei, part Terrier and part Psycho... Cute, isn't he??
Zuki and Storm get along great, which is a relief. They're playing with an I-Cube. I love it!
Interesting people who aren't afraid to be who they are. If you aren't hiding under a mask and are just being you, I want to meet you. I'm interested in real friendships with no bullshit attached, so please send me a message along with your friend request, eh? Thanks!
I'd also like to meet the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes people on my front porch. Today, please. Thanks. I'd like to retire while I am still able to shake my ass and not have it swinging around like a sack of potatos.
I like a wide variety of music. Right now, I'm loving Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Static X and System of a Down. My favorite all time band is Journey. Yeah, I know. Shut it.
I also really dig Rob Zombie, Stone Sour, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Machine Head, Lamb of God, Corrosion of Conformity, Mastadon, Strapping Young Lads, The Darkness, Queensryche, Prong, Rob Halford, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus and Rammstein. And Ted Nugent. And Lenny Kravitz! And I love me some Good Year Pimps!! Stu spanked me on stage at the US Beer Company! That was a trip.In my younger years, I was seriously into the Punk scene and I spent my time listening to Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys and Suicidal Tendencies. And Ministry. But I also love love love the Cure. Right. Who doesn't love the Cure???I also grew up with Prince, Wire Train, Oingo Boingo, The Cult, The Clash and U2. While not as heavy or dramatic as some of the other things I like, these bands do get my groove on.I guess I like a little bit of everything. Because I also really love Johnny Lang, Brian Setzer, Three Dog Night, The Grassroots, Arlo Guthrie, Johnny Cash, The Judy Bats, Pantera, The Monkees, Carol King, and George Clinton. Also, The Lusties are coming!! You like Punk? You wanna see some serious hotness??? Go on... click the link! CLICK IT!!!Hey, check this dude out!!! He's pretty awesome! Riothead is a one man band to rival The The and perhaps even NIN!
Liking the supernatural sci-fi flicks. Gimme more X-Men!! Hugh Jackman rules! So does Halle Berry. I really liked Halle in Swordfish with John Travolta. That was a kickass movie. I really like movies that make me think and question everything. The Matrix movies did that. I remember getting in the car and just sitting there. We didn't talk. We just thought. Pretty amazing and heavy.I also really like action movies. Specifically, I love Jet Li and Jackie Chan movies. The only reason I'm writing this is because I want to put Jet Li on my website. So there. Honesty is best, eh? LOL!!And, of course, I adore horror movies. I've been watching them all my life and just love it when something new (and not gay) comes along. I'll tell you what a gay horror movie is, just for reference: Jeepers Creepers. That was the saddest excuse for a horror movie. Ever. I'm still pissed off that I spent $2.99 for the Pay-Per-View. Grrr!! But then, there are those movies that make up for it due to sheer hotness. Like Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects. Heavy shit, man! Any movie that starts it's DVD with, "Well, shit the bed!" is going to be a good time. The first horror movie that actually scared me was Nightmare on Elm Street. That was scary. I was, what? Maybe 15 when I saw that? Before that, never really scared. Something about Wes Craven's movies (when I was 15) were very powerful. Now they're amusing! hehehee!! I remember staying up til 2am watching the Reanimator with my mom one night and we laughed so hard that it was rather ridiculous. Some of the movies that are coming out that are based on video games are pretty cool. I love Milla Jovovich and she's done a very fine job in the Resident Evil movies. And she's so hot. The Fifth Element was great, as well. Liked Ultra Violet, too. Where was I? Oh, yeah.... Milla....The first movie I saw that left me totally stunned was Reservoir Dogs. At the end, I just sat there with my jaw hanging open and looked at my husband and said, "Everybody died?" Oh right. Like THAT's a spoiler. The movie was released in 1992! I've been in love with Tarantino's work ever since. And his horror? Marvelous! From Dusk Til Dawn is one of my faves! Give me vampires anyday, but pair blood suckers with Quentin Tarantino and it's a winner. Or pair blood suckers with Kate Beckinsale!! Whoo hooo! The Underworld movies are definately winners.
Adult Swim.... if it's twisted, I'm there.Lately, if the TV is on, it's on the news since there's so much bullshit going on with the wars, the fighting and politics. This is a volitile time and I'm am informed. I'm also very opinionated and secure in my political views so don't fuck with me. On the lighter side, the new Doctor Who episodes are on my TiVo as well as episodes of MXC. Love me some MXC!! Kenny Blankenship rules! hehehe!
I like my fiction with a twist. Stephen King is at the top of the list. Also, Clive Barker, Laurell Hamilton, Dean Koontz and other supernatural/sci-fi/horror. I also like some romance. Give me a good bodice ripper and I'll be able to get through the weekend shift at the hospital with no problem.
Grace Jones is my all time hero. She's strong, she's tough as nails and she'll eat you for dinner if you get in her way.
And she's HOT!!Another lady of influence in my life is Cathe Friedrich. She's my personal trainer. I use her workout videos at home and she busts my ass!
Do you see those abs!! You could break open a coconut on those abs! Cathe is at http://www.cathe.com .Anyone who adopts a pet is also my hero. Every year, thousands of animals are destroyed because they're found as strays or because the animal shelter is overcrowded. Please consider getting your next pet at the local animal shelter. If you're looking for a particular breed, rescue societies have an animal for you. Many of these animals are already trained and housebroken. Don't forget to spay and neuter! And if you can't adopt a live animal, try a virtual animal to hold you over until you can!
adopt your own virtual pet!I do lots of fun stuff with blood and body fluids at my job. Mainly, I work in the Blood Bank where I prepare blood and blood products to be transfused into my patients. We are in the middle of a blood shortage in the Chicagoland area, so if you're not busy, how about lending a vein? Only 5% of people who could donate actually do so, but over 50% of the people you know will need a transfusion someday. All blood donors are heros. Each donation can save 2 or 3 lives each! Lifesource is the largest supplier for the Chicago area, so call 1-877-LIFESOURCE to make an appointment. Heartland and Red Cross also do business in the area. Unless you're anemic, sick or otherwise deferred from donating, please donate. I don't want to hear excuses, either. Excuses are for pussies.
My last whole blood donation was on December 22, 2006.
