In the last 20-something years I've been surfing more that anything else but Jay Boy said it best "I'm a skateboarder that surfs". I'm not a grom so I like bowls more than street but I'll still skate a curb. Oh yeah, I like shoes alot. Really. Skate shoes have always been a favorite but I like 'em all. Funny thing is I wear rubber slippers more than anything else.
Duke Kahanamoku, Dale Velzy

Blue Horizon, Free Ride, Sprout, Chlorine, Rising Son, Beer Helmet, Dogtown Z Boys, Cool Hand Luke
Just about everything on the Food Network except Emeril. Giada de Laurentis, Nigella Lawson & Sandra Lee are my favorites. Anything about design & construction of anything.
Books? There's only one book for a skateboarder, Independent's "Built to Grind". I read magazines. Alot of magazines, cover to cover. My favorites are JUICE, THRASHER, TRACKS, WAVES,SURFER & WATER. At one point I had every issue of SURFER & SURFING magazine(s) from '79 to '98. Just about every issue of THRASHER & various Australian surf mags including TRACKS in periodical form. On a rainy day I could easily sit at Barnes & Noble magazine rack for hours. Seriously.
