About Me

MAJOR EVENT: WPAFB'S JUNETEENTH AND BLACK MUSIC MONTH!!!
On June 10th Wright Patt will celbrate moments in Black history, art, education, culture, etc. with spoken word, poetry, singing, african dancing, art, krumping, stepping, literature, history, storytelling, etc.
I feel this is a major event and althoug it's not open to the public, I know my people (performers) are anxious to be a part of it. I apologize to those whom I can not get to. Please remember that for all performances, auditions are REQUIRED.
I want to stress....THIS IS NOT A PARTY, FASHION SHOW, TALENT SHOW, ETC. THIS IS A CELEBRATION OF BLACK PEOPLE AND THE INFLUENCES WE HAVE ON THE WORLD!.
Update: As of today, May 4th, we have more than enough poets and spoken word artists; and there are only about 2 more spots left open for vendors(non-food only). I apologize to those of you who are in these categories that are still emailing me. Poets and Spokenword artists: you are more than welcome to still audition just in case some people don't get picked or they cancel, but there is a chance you won't get to perform. Also, we would love to have more musicians/bands: Calypso, Cuban, Ragtime, Jazz, Gospel, African, etc.
I own my own productions, promotions, and publications company called MGP Enterprises, LLC. I will have a Bachelor's in Public Relations and Marketing as of June 14, 2008!!! Ya' girl just landed being in charge of PR for DEBUNKIFY (you know...anti-smoking) and marketing for Terminix (developing yellow page ads)!!!!! I am a certified television producer, and I use my resources (E.g. camera equipment, lighting, mics, studios, etc.) to help artists of all kind showcase their talents. Beyond that, I just try to link artists up that I think would be a good match and I also try to keep my clients updated on upcoming events and auditions. I started this company as a poet who recognized the lack of venues in Dayton, Ohio. I decided to stop complaining and do something about it. I'm small scale, but enough to get the job done and enough to get my people out there to be noticed. I do have a few big connections, but I'm professional so I do not broadcast who they are (which is why I still have them as connections...lol). As far as what I do as an artist, I am about to have a poetry book published by BET publishing. I'm simply complex. I'm not the way that people think that I am (as far as being someone who clubs, etc.). I'm a shy out-going person...if that makes any sense! As soon as you think you've figured me out, you'll realize that you haven't figured out anything. I don't try to be that way, it's just my nature. I'm very creative, introspective, and intelligent...at the same time I'm goofy and playful. I'm also working on a "documentary-like"novel. I know documentaries pertain to television, but that's the best way i have of describing what i'm doing. I'm all about trying to do whatever I can do to better our community and help our people succeed in life. I plan on establishing a non-profit art guild. The purpose will be to better our community by providing the youth with art and music history (in a fun interactive way). My great aunt, Sheila Ramsey, has her own theatre company, Dream Keepers, and I plan on utilizing that resource in my non-profit also. General Note to my Peoples:For all of you that think racism against black people is gone or less than what it used to be....WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!! Stop being content with the things "they" give you to keep you complacent.

I'd like to meet:

I know we're supposed to talk about celebrities and stuff here, but how would that benefit me long term? I want to meet anyone (male or female) that is laid back, drama-free, and can carry on an intelligent conversation. I love people who just love life and are happy to be here. I love people who live and don't just exist. I appreciate people who can tell the difference between immature and goofy...you shouldn't go through life being serious ALL THE TIME! As far as in a man: someone caring (genuinely so), someone who knows that it's the little things that count, someone who is in love with being in love, someone that loves his mother AND his father (ppl tend to leave the father part out). I want someone that is my best friend, there when we need/want each other, take care of each other, can love each other and give each other space too, someone goofy, light-hearted, and fun to be around. In short, the one that God has in store for me...whomever he may be. As far as life: I'd really like to meet love and let him (yes, "him") know that I ain't mad at him. Let him know that just finally getting the chance to meet him is enough. When I speak of love in this context, I am referring to romantic love, for I already know about unconditional agape love that I have for my loved ones and especially my son.
