About Me

I am 43 years old, born & raised in Dallas, Tx (Oak Cliff). Lived around the Dallas area & Sherman durring my adult life. Even lived in Hawaii, then El Paso as a military wife. I love Texas but I miss Hawaii... it felt more like home than anywhere ever has. I'm the mother of two grown girls. But most people think I'm their sister... Alot of the people I hang out with are closer to my daughters' age than mine. I grew up with brothers & boy cousins... my mom died when I was young so I was raised by my dad. I was daddy's little girl but I've never been a girly girl. I have a granddaughter who is 2, she is my heart and a new grandson. I love to sing. I am a part time karaoke DJ. Nothing makes me feel quite like I do when I sing & it's the best therapy in the world... when people enjoy what I sing, that's just bonus... the icing on the cake so to speak! I use to throw darts & really loved it but have not played in a few years now. I love my friends... they have always been like family. I have a wonderful man in my life who is everything I had wanted & more. I'm in the process of moving back home... just could not stay away from my friends, family & the music!

My Interests

My grandkids,Classic cars (especially Mustangs), Darts, Singing, Finding old friends & meeting new ones, NBA basketbal (Dallas Mavericks & Phoenix Suns since that's where Steve Nash is)

I'd like to meet:

I am hoping to meet up with some old friends I have not talked to in a while and maybe meet some new ones along the way. But anyone who just wants to talk sex... forget it! I miss my old school friends & the ones we met through the military at Schofield Barracks & Ft. Bliss! You can never have to many friends. I'd love to meet my birth father... if I was sure just who he was!

Music:

All kinds of music... especially country...

Movies:

Like all kinds of movies... especially with Keanu Reeves, Whoopie Goldberg, Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp, Chrisian Slater or Adam Sandler. And I just love a hot cowboy, pirate or vampire.

Television:

Most of the television I watch is late night rerun sitcoms... quite addicted to Nick at Nite, especially I Love Lucy, Fresh Prince... also anything Star Trek but particularly Next Generation, Deep Space Nine & Voyager... I miss these shows so... I love Supernatural, Angel, Buffy, Charmed, Ghost Hunters, Veronica Mars... Then I gotta have my Mavs!!!

Books:

My favorite book is Imzadi from the Star Trek Next Generation Series.

Heroes:

My hero is my dad! He was the most wonderful person I ever knew. He was confined to a wheel chair & a hospital bed since I was just a baby. My mom died when I was nine & he lived as a widower till the day he died. Yet with all he had to deal with, I never once heard him complain. He was always concerned with everyone else before himself. He was the most wonderful dad I could ever have...he gave us more love than most kids ever experience. He taught us that the important thing about people is who they are inside, not how much money they had or the color of their skin. He always encouraged me to do what was important to me... he was the only one in my family who really understood how important music was to me, with the exception of my mom when I was really young. I wish that I could be half the person he was.
