About Me

Think of me as June Cleaver meets Gloria Steinem meets Janis Joplin!I am, in true Pisces fashion, a dichotomy of beliefs. As much as I love to go out, travel and try new things, I also love to stay at home and do nothing or read a good book. I'm a feminist and a smart goal-oriented woman but I find something gratifying about trying to create a good home life (cooking, baking, cleaning, being there). I live in a Western culture but am more in tune with Eastern philosophy. Etc, etc, etc.I LOVE MySpace because it's allowed me to reconnect with all sorts of dear friends I've 'misplaced' over time. I'm just doin' my thing, going to school (yes STILL...I'm a higher education junkie!), working and trying to spend a bit of time with my man. I work at a non-profit so although the pay isn't the best, I feel as though I'm doing something that matters. I overextend myself and never have enough time so don't feel neglected if you don't see me here too often!.. More Free MySpace Backgrounds

My Interests

Movies, MUSIC, politics, travel (international and domestic), liberal social causes, a good book, meaningful discourse, my dog, oh yeah and my boyfriend!
Your aura shines Blue!

What Color Is Your Aura?
brought to you by QuizillaOnly 4% of people who've taken this are Blue. What can I say, I'm a bit unique! :D

I'd like to meet:

Fun people who have something intelligent to say.

Music:

R&R straight up with a shot of blues! Anything that ROCKS! My all time faves include The Black Crowes, The Who, Led Zeppelin, U2, Crosby Stills Nash (& Young), Rage Against the Machine, Janis Joplin, The Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, etc., etc., etc. and of course anyting by the hot bassist Zitch!

Movies:

No particular film springs to mind but I generally prefer dramas. If it doesn't make me cry it probably wasn't worth wasting my time to watch. I do, however, like a good light comedy from time to time or a relatively non-gory action/suspense film.

Television:

Given my personality my choices may seem odd but: Heroes, SpongeBob Squarepants (I like most Nicktoons), How I Met Your Mother (funny!), Lost, Jericho, The Office, The Dead Zone, Resuce Me. I don't have time to watch them all but I enjoy them when I do.

Books:

Anything not a textbook! I just finished "Love in the Time of Cholera"
