This is me....

About Me

At the moment my life consists of partying and sleeping because it's the summer and my real life (teaching fabulous but very naughty, wannabe gangster kids in the shady end of Manchester) is over till the autumn when school starts all over again.I am also training to be a psychologist - and no, I can't read minds!I love living in the city but am a country girl at heart and one day intend living in the middle of rural nowhere. My favourite things in life are....Travelling - either backpacking or doing it in style - there is so much of the world to see and so little time!!Good conversation - what is life without a good natter in whatever form it may take.Being challenged - you need to have your limits tested otherwise you may as well curl up in a corner!Good food and drink - I'm lady organic and love love love cooking.Dancing - be it in a living room, a proper dirty club or some swanky party - you can't beat a good dance if you're in the mood.Football - watching not playing.Driving - roof down, music playing, probably speeding.Country walk with my ipod on.Film, theatre, art galleries, live music, reading and writing.Wuthering Heights - my desert island book.Italy, India and Wales - my favourite countries, although china, japan, vietnam, south africa and spain are not far behind. And festivals...so much peace and love good music and mischief!So...I guess that's me!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

like minded people

Music:

I don't think you could pigeonhole me by looking through my ipod - I have such an eclectic taste in music. There is everything from punk to opera, electronic to easy listening, pop to rock, and hip hop to jazz. I guess the only thing I'm not into is whatever genre the likes of Slipnot fall into!!

Movies:

The Big Blue, Secretary, Wizard of Oz, Y Tu Mama Tabien, Some Kind of Wonderful, Reality Bites, The Notebook, The Godfather trilogy, Donnie Brasco, Point Break, One Flew over the cuckoo's nest, and all those 80's classics like Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Top Gun, Working Girl, St Elmo's Fire etc..... How girlie does that list make me!!

Books:

There are too many brilliant books to mention - especially since my BA was in English Literature but let's just say - I love the victorian classics and Richard and Judy's readlist!!

Heroes:

Hmmmm - I need time to think about that one but I think my Grandma is pretty damn fabulous. ALso - anyone who can laugh at themselves and take whatever life throws at them with guts and strength.
